Through the efforts of the Traill Family and
some dedicated Anglicans, the original weatherboard church was built in
1899.
This was destroyed by a bush fire in 1913,
and rebuilt as a brick building during 1913 – 1914.
The Narthex was added in 1975. St Agnes
Church has some magnificent examples of W.H. Montgomery’s
stained glass windows and a fine wooden Rood Screen carved by Elsie
Traill, one of the first women wood carvers in Victoria.
