Welcome to the Anglican Parish

of  St Agnes

Black Rock

Melbourne

Victoria 3193

Through the efforts of the Traill Family and some dedicated Anglicans, the original weatherboard church was built in 1899.

This was destroyed by a bush fire in 1913, and rebuilt as a brick building during 1913 – 1914.

The Narthex was added in 1975. St Agnes Church has some magnificent examples  of W.H. Montgomery’s stained glass windows and a fine wooden Rood Screen carved by Elsie Traill, one of the first women wood carvers in Victoria.
